Glitzy Coilz Presents: THESE CURLZ AINT LOYAL

I am finally pleased to share the pics from my second #naturalhair event. This event was called THESE CURLZ AINT LOYAL. This workshop was geared toward the woes of natural hair. Natural hair is a beautiful thing but there are times when the tangles and shrinkage can be a bit much.

When you are having a not so wonderful hair day, headwraps, turbans and scarves can be a lifesaver. I provided each attendee with stretchy jersey fabric to practice tying a headwrap. They took their beautiful fabric home to get some extra practice.

I've never tied a headwrap without a mirror before. LOL!

We passed the finished products around the room to smell and sample. 

My hair ended up in a ponytail half way through the workshop. LOL

Resilient Soul Presents Oklahoma Naturals Expo Weekend 2014 Recap

 Resilient Soul did it again! Oklahoma Naturals Weekend was a blast!! We enjoyed a weekend full of naturalistas, curly girl friendly vendors, and a haute natural hair art show.

 Friday night was the Mane Ingredient event hosted by Adeea Rogers the Trendy Socialite.This event was full of fun, games and giveaways  in a soulful cozy atmosphere @ Urban Roots with Curlfriends!

It was a pleasure meeting the lovely Adeea Rogers @trendysocialite!! Her event #maneingredient was a blast!! I won the #BeautifulTextures giveaway! Woo Hoo!

Saturday October 25, 2014 was the Oklahoma Naturals Expo. The Expo had vendors selling organic handmade natural hair products, big earrings like I love, natural hair para and tees, a live DJ, bomb BBQ, swag bags and even seminars by the bloggers panel. Fun Times!!

Saturday night was the Natural Hair as Art Hair Show and After Party at the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center. When we walked in you could hear live entertainment. The vibe was really chill and upscale. Totally digged Ms. Cooki Turner's song TRY!! I was so moved by that song.
